Biography

I was born in Virginia on September 9th, 1994, which makes me almost 14 years old. I was introduced to video games when I was 5. I started playing the piano when I was 12. When I was 6, my sister started playing the violin. I was very curious and watched her practicing. She became better and better, and I was inspired. So in the 5th grade, my parents signed me up to play the viola.

It took a while for me to realize that the instrument I wanted to play was the piano. I started with the viola, and throughout middle school, I got better, but it started to bore me. I first got inspired to play the piano by my cousin. He was playing the Mario Theme on the piano at one of my Christmas parties, and I really wanted to learn how to do that. So, at the age of 12, my parents got me a teacher.

At first, the classes didn't go so well; I tended to not focus. But, the piano lessons really helped me. Before I had a teacher, I taught myself to play the piano. The first song I learned was Dire Dire Docks from Super Mario 64, then the Mario Theme. I first learned of video game music off Youtube out of boredom. I watched tutorials on some favored video game songs. I didn't start arranging until the beginning of 2008.

I have a lot of favorite viedo games. My all time favorite would be Fire Emblem. I have many others, too, like Kingdom Hearts, Super Smash Brothers, and Halo. My favorite composer would probably be the Japan composer, Yoko Shimomura. If she could write all the songs for 3 Kingdom Hearts games, she'd be pretty extraordinary. Vivaldi and Pachelbel are my favorite old composers. In my free time, you'd probably find me on my computer, running back and forth from the piano to there, arranging music.
