Distant Worlds Concerts - You Really Should Go!

I had a chance to attend the Distant Worlds: Music from Final Fantasy concert last night in my home town of Denver, Colorado.  It wasn't quite sold out, but it was still a solid turnout of very enthusiastic fans.  These concerts are really worth your money, and if you have the opportunity to see one, you shouldn't pass it up.  It lasted nearly two-and-a-half hours last night, with two great encores, some great video footage (including an FFVIII battle scene in-sync with the live music and a personal note from Nobuo Uematsu himself), and lots of good times had by all.  Oh, and seeing the Final Fantasy VI Opera "Maria & Draco" performed live is something that no FF fan should miss!

The next scheduled concert is in Grand Rapids, Michigan on April 14, 2009.  Uematsu will be attending that concert and will be available for a meet-and-greet following the performance.  I'm not sure of the status of the meet-and-greet tickets at this point, but it's certainly worth checking out if you're interested in going.  We hope to run a competition again around this time to coincide with the concert, but nothing is set in stone yet.  In the meantime, get all the details on the concert on the FF: Distant Worlds official website.

I was freaking there!
Colorado's reaction compared to even Chocago's reaction was amazing (well from what I've seen)
We cheered for like 20 seconds straight
lol
Also, the sound was amazing
So much more amazing then in the games, the Advent Children movie, and better than any vid
Seeing all of this live in person is just amazing
I can't wait till they come back
I still think we had the best performance out of anywhere in the US
xD smile

Are the meet-and-greet tickets different from the regular concert tickets?

I went to the concert too! It was absolutely amazing, I cried more than once that evening! I was cosplaying as Garnet and I met a Zidane cosplayer too! Nobuo Uematsu's music is something that everyone can enjoy no matter what age, even my parents enjoyed the concert! ^_^

Being in London makes it difficult to see Final Fantasy-specific music concerts. If I'm not wrong, no concert has been performed there. I really do hope it will happen one lucky day!

Ah! Lucky! I really want to go to a Distant Worlds concert... I have the CD and the opera is pretty special through my headphones but live must be something altogether more wonderful!

But these guys never come over to the UK!! I should set up a petition... anyhow, glad you had fun!
