Biography
Written by Ronin
Takahito Eguchi's interest in music began at the age of 6, when he could often be found listening to his neighbour playing the piano. Soon after, music quickly became a huge interest in Takahito's life even though his parents wanted him to become a sports star. He ignored his parents wishes and attended the Shobi Academy in Tokyo, where he eventually graduated and formed a friendship with Noriko Matsueda.
After leaving the Shobi Academy, Takahito decided that he would like to get into the video game music industry, so he started working for a few small companies in their sound production departments. However, his friend Noriko Matsueda convinced him to join her at Square, where she was currently working.
Surprisingly, his first job for Square was to work alongside Matsueda on the game Bahamut Lagoon. However, he would only be doing a few arrangements this time around. Obviously pleased with the working relationship they had together, Square asked them to work on many more projects into the future including The Bouncer.
Probably their biggest creation together has been the Final Fantasy X-2 Original Soundtrack, although before that Takahito took a small break from Square to work on the anime series DNAngel.
