I don't really know what to say.

I've written several pieces during my abscense and am not quite sure what to say about any of them, so I suppose I'll just post some of them.

1) Exchange - I had originally planned for this to be another romantic type of piece, however it seems to have morphed into something reminiscent of RPG town themes.
2) Ha no Shounen - I don't know. I just havn't done anything like this in a while, so I thought it'd be a little fun.
3) Theme - No comment.

As well... I tried transcribing the Seto no Hanayome opening theme -- It worked well, for the first 40 seconds. Then I got bored and decided to finish it later, but I suppose I'll post it now, anyway...:

Yes. I've finally updated this thread . I have 2 compositions and 1 transcription [in progress]:

1) Hitogoroshi - I don't know, really. It's a very rythm based composition that's impossible to actually play, so it's only for listening purposes right now.
2) Hikari to Kage - Very... I don't knowo what to say, again. It's unplayable as far as I know, for most parts. The celestia's part is perfectly playable, as well as the bass guitar. I have no idea about the others, though. So again, for listening purposes.
3) Natsukage - A transcription from the Air/Kanon piano arrange album. I decided to start transcribing the sheet music myself, since KEY hasn't realesed any official sheets yet, and I just became impatient. Incomplete.

HOLY **** IT'S AN UPDATE.

Yeah, I haven't posted in this thread for a while, but I've recently discovered the record feature of my MP4 player. So I present you with misc. piano recordings:

Scars of Time (Chrono Cross)
Besaid (Final Fantasy X-2)
Dango Dai-Kazoku (Clannad)
Final Fantasy VI Opera - Overture, Aria (Final Fantasy VI)

Ignore bad quality recordings, cats, mistakes etc.

Aww, and I was looking forward to hearing Scars of Time, but : "The specified key does not exist"

Love "Besaid" though, and the Opera is simply amazing. Mm, ♪♫...

I haven't updated in a while again, but I've been hard at work with the OST of an independant game for a while. It's coming along pretty nicely, and I've been going on with it since around October of 2007. I figured I'd post a track or two here to show you guys wha'ts going on:

Hokabi
Romance in Andante II

Tell me what you think

Also, Germanseabass, thanks for the comments. I'm going to make some new recordings some time and post those up, but first I need to find a nice preamp/mic so I can actually get good recordings :\

You should be more bold with your writing. The Toccata I thought was by and large your most interesting composition, in part because of the insane amount of chromaticism (although I question if measure 28 is either playable or practical) which created some interesting harmonies.

Although... I doubt a piece (or writing) of that style can find much use an incidental music in a video game.

Amazing compositions. I'd say I liked Toccata and Theme the best. Good job, I look forward to hearing more of your arrangements!

I make all of my compositions with Finale 2008, then either save them as MP3s in finale, or sample them with FL Studio and save those as OGG files. If you want somewhere to upload your recordings, I suggest using Openomy. It's a great free file upload service that alot of us arrangers use to share our work

Jisho: Yeah, I did have alot of fun with the toccata. Measure 28 is entirely playable, though I don't believe it's possible to play the the tremolo as quickly as the computer renders it. Also, the reason my newer pieces are less chromatic/violent is because of the type of game it's written for. I'm actually writing the music for an independant visual novel, or bishojo game.

Bahamut: Thanks for the comments

Well, heavy chromaticism would be cool to hear in a video game soundtrack. As neat as most video game music is, it is harmonically pretty "blah."
