Default JrvUnleashed's Compositions and Arrangements - 04-19-2009, 04:06 PM

My Introduction Thread

Hello again. This thread will be the place that I will update you guys on all my compositions and arrangements. Please listen and give feedback. Hope you like them. As some of you know I am primarily a brass player so the majority of my recordings involve instruments like trombone, euphonium, tuba, trumpet, etc. However, I have made some compositions with guitar, bass, and drums and I plan on using woodwinds(stings maybe) in my next big composition.

I use Finale Notepad 2009 for my recordings but I converted them to mp3 through audacity so everyone can listen. Just message me if you want the original .mus files.

My Current Works

Details:

Arrangements:
The Legend of Zelda:Temple of Time; for Euphonium and Tuba
TLOZ: Lost Woods; for Trombone, Euphonium, and Tuba
TLOZ: Owl Theme(Kaepora Gaebora's Theme); for Euphonium, Trombone, and Tuba
TLOZ: Marketplace Theme

TLOZ: Castle Courtyard Theme
For 2 Trombones, 2 euphoniums, and tuba
TLOZ: Zelda's Lullaby; for Trombone and Classical Guitar
God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen; for Electric Guitar, Bass Guitar, and drum set(Sorry about the crappy drums. I had to write the whole thing out through notation in Finale Notepad)
TLOZ:TP: Hyrule Field theme:http://www.squaresound.com/dynamics/...eld-theme-789/
TLOZ: Phantom Hourglass Ocean Theme: http://www.squaresound.com/dynamics/...hourglass-801/
Compositions:
Fury of the Mountain; for Bb Trumpet, 2 trombones, tuba, timpani, and various percussion.
Description:
An exciting recreation of a volcanic eruption through loud and penetrating brass and percussion. It is cut into 6 basic sections explained below:

The beginning forshadows the coming terror.

Part 2 portrays the glorious mountain before it's eruption.

Part 3 expresses the calm and uneasy feeling before the coming destruction

Part 4 portrays the "Fury of the Mountain", the eruption as it occurs.

Part 5 resembles part 3 at first, as it expresses the quiet and melancholy aftermath of the eruption. It then elevates into a dramatic climax of the song expressing the glory of the original mountain returning after the eruption.

The finale is strikingly similar to the beginning,
as it shows that that the volcano is still their under the mountain. Eventually, it will return and the process will repeat

UPDATE:
Requiem of A Fallen Soul

It expresses, through music, the mind of of man spiraling into depression, hate, insanity, and suicide due to the loss of his daughter. Features:

UPDATE: I'm working on a new song titled(this may change) Requiems of a Fallen Soul. It expresses, through music, the mind of of man spiraling into depression, hate, insanity, and suicide due to the loss of his daughter. I think it's going pretty well. Also, faking tempo change in finale notepad by use of rit.'s and such is a very interesting experience to say the least lol. Should be done in the next few days.
Features:
Flute, Bb Clarinet, F Horn, Bb Trumpet, Trombone, Tuba, Timpani, and Percussion.

UPDATE:

Hey guys, I'm back with a fresh batch of music for you. I have 1 new arrangement and one new composition for you guys. Hope you enjoy.

Composition: Valley Overture
For Flutes, Bb Clarinets, F Horns, Bb Trumpets, Trombones, Tuba, timpani, and Percussion.

Arrangement: The Legend of Zelda: Marketplace Theme
For Trombone, Euphoniums, Tuba(second optional), and Bb Trumpet.

As always, they can be found in the "Jamie's Compositions and Arrangements Folder, so please check them out and give feedback.

Also, I was thinking about adding my zelda arrangements to the collection on this site. What do you guys think? And should I upload the Finale .mus files or the MP3 files?

Man, I am on a role this weekend. I've got another zelda arrangement for you guys.

The Legend of Zelda: Castle Courtyard Theme
For 2 Trombones, 2 euphoniums, and tuba

It's in the same place as the others.

Also, something new for you guys. I've uploaded all the .mus files for my zelda arrangements into a special folder next to the original. Now you guys can actually see the sheet music.

It's funny you should arrange these two pieces as they are actually in my top three from Ocarina of Time; the only one missing is Hyrule Field. I actually can't open the .MUS files yet, so I'll go download the latest Finale NotePad and edit this post when I've listened to them .

Blobbery.

I've been listening to these one at a time every once in awhile. I like them, they are creative.
