It does sound good. Though honestly I would suggest giving a little more to the viola. As it stands so far I do not think that any violist would be particularly enthusiastic about playing this piece.

Triple the octave of the first violin? That'd be my solution in this case unless you'd want to do more part writing.

And I just realized: the double bass player won't be particularly fond of his part.

Are they ever? I would be glad to help with this. I think that an Ocarina medley fugue would be cool....

Please give my syphony a listen! Any comments are greatly appreciated!

I'm really not that good at writing string parts. Personally, I'd write it for brass. Well gotta get back to work. time for heavy revision.

Haha I agree Roboashura, none of the string bass players in my school's band are ever happy with their music.

Okay heres the new revised version. I totally erased the string basss part because it was annoying me there are still no articulation marks though (too lazy) There are more than four instruments as well (sorry but string quartet was not working) please listen and give suggestions.

Sounding good so far, though, there are a few things:

Viola 2 is pretty much a useless part as it is, since you could just give Viola 1 the double stops that the second viola is playing. Also, the scoring for the cello parts is a little uneven as well. You have a lot of double stops for cellos 1 and 2 at measure 9, while cello 3 isn't playing anything. You should probably divide some of the notes between them. Violin 3 is also a somewhat useless part, as you could just give it's part to Violin 2 and it wouldn't make any difference.

I know that the cello part is uneven because it suppose to. Originally, it was a french horn and string bass part that were different. It suppose to be syncopated. And heres the somewhat finished version. In this, I made use of the violas but the third cello is still somewhat useless. If you have anything to say then please post it so then I can improve.

And about the project, can you post string quartets/ensemble arrangements from any game? because currentlly, I'm working on a string arrangement for His World from sonic the hedgehog (recently new one)
