Sibelius can be tough to get used to, and the sheet music can come out looking pretty badly if you don't know what you're doing. It's amazingly versatile though, and the keyboard shortcuts make for very efficient note input and editing. Really I prefer Finale though, I'd be lost without simple entry.

Blobbery.

Yeah, I do like Finale better than Sibelius. Sibelius is very hard to get used to. It's a little frustrating for me whenever I try or have to use it since my music department uses Sibelius. I just never got the hang of it, but I've seen others use the shortcuts and it seems pretty cool but I'll still stick with my software for now.

For Finale, I sometimes use a keyboard, like the piano keyboard, to insert notes. I only do that if I made it up on the piano, but most of the time, inspiration comes to me while putting random rhythms on the staves. Haha.

Random beat-wise, not note-wise.

I've had Finale for a while. It has crashed only a couple times, (would that have anything to do with working on a desktop computer?) but it was really annoying. I'm planning on buying Finale like officially once I get my laptop but it's so dang expensive. But, is paying the $600 worth it? I'd like to know.

Having cracks and keygens is always nice.

Well next year. when I go to college. I'll have access to the college music lab...including Midiboards, Digital Pianos, recording equipment, and the full finale! ^_^

We used to have a microlab like that at my university but not anymore. The department basically shut it down due to the cost of trying to keep maintaining it.
