Default The Official Arrangement Help Thread - 03-19-2009, 05:22 PM

Now Official! Until I change the title somehow.

So, I started this thread so the members of the Squaresound forum and future members can get help on their various arrangements. And this will save you a hassle from posting your own thread and find nobody reading it. =/

So, without further ado, I introduce the Unofficial Arrangement Help Thread!

This is how it works.
If you have an arrangement in progress or even wondering what to arrange at all, post your questions here and help requests. The users here SHOULD help you. Unlimited helpers to any one arrangement. Haha. You should get some help pretty quickly.

Also, you can post your own arrangements here by attaching an...attachment. Get some positive and constructive feedback here!

One last thing. I'll try to start a list of some nice helpers that you can PM for help on anything. I'm always willing to help the writer's blocked, so feel free to ask me.

Alright. I'll be editing this first post every now and then. Let's start helping!

The following people specialize in arranging on the following instruments. Links to profiles are also added.

Great idea! I remember how difficult writing one's first arrangements can be, and love helping people out with music. I primarily use Finale and specialize in writing for brass, though my ear is good for hearing pitches on just about any instrument.

This is a great idea. Starting out with arranging is difficult. I was going to say that I do a lot arranging for brass since I am a big brass player. But now that I think about it I have been spreading the wealth with instrumentation for smaller ensembles.

Well putting a list up of the different specialists is great! Hopefully this will boost interest in people arranging and eventually joining the forums.

well, I know something about all the instruments in the orchestra - traditional woodwinds, brass, strings and percussion - but since I don't play most of them personally, I don't know everything about what is and what is not possible to play with them.
