Getting a .sib file printed -
10-16-2009, 09:06 AM
Hi,
I'm having a problem printing out an arrangement. It's this one:
(wasn't allowed to post links yet, it's Zelbess from Chrono Cross, arranged by Nick Werner)
I installed scorch, but there is no print button. I don't have a printer at my home anyway. So I went to an internet cafe, but there was no print button shown when I accessed the file there either. So I tried to take screenshots and printing them out, but they are very pixelated and hard to read.
Even if there was a print button, it wouldn't work, since scorch doesn't seem to allow printing to file (tried it with other arrangements).
Is this deliberately so in order to prevent people from printing out the sheets? Just wondering, I have no idea. Wouldn't make sense though, because the sheets are right there on the screen. Is it allowed to request someone who has Sibelius to make a pdf out of it and send it to me? Because I don't particularly plan to buy Sibelius just to print out one arrangement...
Cheers

if you get the composer's approval, I can export the pages as PNGs. I don't remember if I can do a .pdf or not, but I can certainly do images.

Hello!
Thanks for your reply and for your help offer! Does anyone know how I could reack Nick Werner, or if he has a forum account and what his account name is so I can send him a PM or something? I also think it's weird that half of his other pieces are in a printable format, and the other half isn't.
Many greetings

Hi,
don't want to bother anyone or be annoying or something.. it's just that I might probably want to play this in front of an audience in February, so I would like to start practicing soon and would kinda need the sheets... So may I ask again if anyone knows Nick Werner or can give me any contact information?
Greetings

hi,
so this is my last attempt, i would need the sheets like, now or something. if he isn't even reachable, I doubt he would care if someone who has a full version of Sibelius made a pdf for me. So may I kindly request that someone make a pdf out of this?
many greetings

Hello. I'm sorry that I missed this post. We have had some problems contacting some of the older arrangers who are not around anymore. I will attempt to get you a printable version of the sheets. I have had some problems with scorch in the past, but I got a new computer, so I'll see what I can do.
If you have any questions, comments, or complaints please send me a PM!

I was able to get scorch to work, but printing is, unfortunately, blocked. Sorry, but I won't be able to help you out. I'm a finale user, not a sibelius user. You might try to find someone who has sibelius to print it for you.
If you have any questions, comments, or complaints please send me a PM!

I'd make the file for you, but I can't find the arrangement you're talking about in the archives

It's not in the new archives. It's in the old arrangement archive on the main squaresound site page.
If you have any questions, comments, or complaints please send me a PM!
