my name is Tim (which I've found funny, given the much more important Tim around here). I've been a member for a while, but I hadn't gotten around to browsing the forums until now. I started out as a percussionist (and still am one to this day), but a friend of mine got me into video game music (specifically Final Fantasy) when I was about 12, so I started learning the piano. shortly after that I got into arranging music, mostly from Final Fantasy but I've done other games like Sonic the Hedgehog and The Legend of Zelda, which are up on the arrangement archives.

I've been very busy lately and hadn't had a chance to listen to any of the new arrangement submissions, but I hope to catch up on them soon. I look forward to listening to your arrangements. I'm glad to hear you've done some Sonic. We have a serious shortage.....although I'm hoping to remedy that soon...mwahahaha.....*ahem*

Welcome. Another percussionist! yay! lol. Its quite funny that percussion is my primary instrument for 6 years and I haven't really written a lot of percussion arrangements. I was just listening to some of your work. Very good stuff. Are specifically a concert percussionist or have you done any front ensemble work?

I wanna hear that Majoras Mask arrangement you are working on. What instruments are you using?

I've done concert percussion for nine years now and was in the pit for all four years of high school and I competed two years on the WGI circuit with my local winter drumline until it folded. I did jazz band for two years as well, but it's not my favourite style of music.

I'm actually done with the arrangement, but I'm not at my home computer (and won't be until Friday), so I can't put it up yet. if I recall, the orchestration is:

Timpani
Snare Drum
Bass Drum
Tambourine
Glockenspiel
Xylophone
Marimba (3)
Vibraphone

I also did it for 2 years and don't really like jazz. lol. at least not the piano parts. I did drumset for 1 year but we needed a piano player the following year
