Indeed. I personally prefer the major keys; in a calmer pace they are much more romantic than the minors, which become very sad and desperate under the same conditions. But of course, modulating between the two works well for grander pieces, but I personally prefer the smaller scale parlour romance pieces of Chopin and Debussy.
