Any tips on how to put sections together?

I'm only knew at composing, and the thing I find most difficult is making one section run smoothly into the next. The sections never seem to conect properly.

So, I was wondering if anyone had any tips on how I might improve this. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe if you're just starting out, try just composing very short phrases and melodies with simple chord progressions, and gradually expand them. You can then later use these little ideas as starting points or ideas for your later, more complicated pieces. I know it may not sound that exciting, but it will help you
develop your ideas in the long run
