      Default Recording music at home

Hey guys. In the near future I would like to get some videos of me just playing piano on YouTube. I was just curious on what equipment I would need to do this from home. The equipment I'm certain on is a mic, and some recording software I'm guessing (my Mac has garageband? Not sure if it's what I need). I'm not too sure on anything else, like cables etc.

What equipment do you guys use to do this? Advice is much appreciated. Thank you

Well realistically the only thing you'd need is a webcam and a mic, but if you wanted to make professional quality recordings you'd need quite a few more things (and it really would not be worth the investment at this point anyway). For example, I did this just using a laptop with a built-in webcam and mic: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zTvdQ...eature=related. The software I used for this was some kind of webcam software that came packaged with the laptop, but youtube does in fact have built in software that will record video from your webcam straight to a youtube video, and that would probably be the easiest choice.

      webcam
      mic
piano and try to have one person near you recording your video when you are playing that will create a more brilliant quality of it
