Did you manage to do a bunch of the side quests? Because both of those games took me way longer when i tried to finish the extra stuff... then again, i might've just taken longer than average. i think i remember my best FF8 save file being more than 200 hours.

No, I hardly did any side quests. In VIII I didn't play any card games either. I usually do the extra stuff when I play the game again later. That 200 hours sounds pretty tough, your character's must've been pretty high levels.
