Default Your First Encounter with Mario - 04-11-2009, 02:24 PM

Haha. So, we all know Mario, the Italian dude with a awesome mustache and cool overalls. How did you first meet him?

My first encounter with mario was in Super Mario 64. I never knew any other game with Mario in it until then. I realize that Super Mario was reltively new when I got it, and Mario was relatively old when it was released.

I believe it was Super Mario All-Stars for the SNES. I'm not entirely sure as I have bad memory. I do remember that it was a fun game.

My first encounter with the mustachioed Italian was Super Mario Bros on the NES.

I actually played Super Mario Bros. 3 before I played the first two...but I was 3 when it was released, so it's not too surprising.

Super Mario Bros. for NES and Donkey Kong for ATARI. I always kind of thought it was weird that the relationship between Mario and Donkey Kong was never mentioned anymore....

It's weird how the first Mario I played was newer than the ones everyone else played first.

Super Mario Bros. for the NES. I also had a SNES at the time but hadn't gotten Super Mario World yet, though I (think) I adored Mario on the NES. It's a little hard to recall as I was about two years old at the time, but I would take turns playing a lot of old NES games with my older brother when I was that age, and Mario was one of them. I remember I had it on a cartridge that included Duck Hunt... both timeless classics.

Blobbery.

Yeah, I think I first played Mario for the NES as well. It was actually my mom's and aunt's system.

I loved Duck Hunt. I think there was also another game on Duck Hunt where you could shoot plates instead of Ducks. lol The music was so catchy. You could always tell what you were playing by the music in the background. I sure do miss it. None of my NES games work anymore.

I don't think I've ever played on a SNES...well, once, but it was Ninja Turtles. This game cartridge I got had 40 games in 1 (from the Philippines =D) and it had some classic Mario games in it.
