The older show was okay. I haven't watched any of the newer seasons. I will give one thing for it. It was one of the best anime dubs of the 90s!

SoulSilver/HeartGold will probably be my new standard for what the ideal is: originally 252 Pokémon (but more, I'm guessing, when you get the Nationaldex), with Pokémon abilities and items. it doesn't get much better than that.

I don't understand why people don't like the new Pokemon. I mean, cmon, imagine D/P/P, and R/S/E with only the original 150 Pokemon. It would be pretty boring. The producers add new Pokemon to help keep players interested.

And with the Pokemon soundtracks, if anyone's ever played Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, they have some pretty cool tracks there. Pokemon D/P/P have the best tracks out of all the games, but that's just me.

x3 It's not that I don't like the new lil' creatures (even though some of them are quite sketchy...)... but the older games definitely set the standard for the franchise. ^^ Personally, I'm not a big fan of the new game concepts... can't name them on the spot... ^^; I'unno... I like the... 'feel' of the older versions the best.

But then again... I guess if the games never changed in style and gameplay... it would get pretty old after a while...

to be honest, my problem with the games after Silver/Gold/Crystal is that you have to rely too much on HMs and make HM whores just to get through certain areas. G/S/C still has some moments, like whenever you have to use Whirlpool and Waterfall, but it's not nearly as bad as Leaf Green/Fire Red
