[Pokémon] If you gotta catch 'em all... -
07-07-2009, 08:06 PM
... why do they keep making more of them? ._.
... Er... this is a video game chat... I feel tempted to ask...
Though I am wondering... if anyone thinks that the music for the game is getting better, or worse (those of you that still play the games, that is...).
Old music will most likely always seem better... but there are a few from the newer games that are pretty nifty as well...
Just wondering...
So hear this, please
And watch as your heart speeds up endlessly
And looks to the stars, as the sun goes down
Each breath that you take has a thunderous sound!
Everything, everything's magic
Just sit back, and hold on
But hold on tight-
Prepare for the best, and the fastest ride
Just reach out your hand, and I'll make you mine!
Everything, everything's magic...

The beginning theme to the pokemon show(I wanna be, the very best...) was clearly the most epic song ever written(Yeah it was a bland Pop Rock song, and maybe it was a horrible song-ok, it was a horrible song-but it was epic nonetheless.) After that the epicness seriously died down. Now it's just total crap.

The first Pokemon theme was really epic back then. But now when I listen to the Finnish version, it's just riddiculous. Not just the lyrics but the singer's voice also makes it sound very stupid.
My personal opinion on Pokemon is that the first 100 episodes are good, the first 250 pokemons are ok and games R/B/Y-G/S/C are the best.

The actual game's music was better than the music from the show. The soundtracks to the first two generations of games was the best. It was composed by the series's creator/producer Junichi Matsuda. Nintendo Power recently had an interview with him.....anyways, I believe the games did start to die down a little bit as it got into the newer games. Although I have to say that Diamond and Pearl were a bit better than the last few generations. D/P also had a much better soundtrack than did Ruby/Sapphire. I will probably be buying one of the DS Gold/Silver remakes, just because they were the best games in the series.

I'm actually really psyched to hear the GS music remade...
RSE sorta turned my enthusiasm down a few notches. : / A few good songs did come out of it though... like the end credits, and Verdanturf's Town music...
... That may be just it on my part. o_o;
So hear this, please
And watch as your heart speeds up endlessly
And looks to the stars, as the sun goes down
Each breath that you take has a thunderous sound!
Everything, everything's magic
Just sit back, and hold on
But hold on tight-
Prepare for the best, and the fastest ride
Just reach out your hand, and I'll make you mine!
Everything, everything's magic...

I only followed Pokemon through the first season and they even began adding new things then which meant overlapping the game. It seems that the modern Pokemon today seem more rushed and, how can I say this?, blocky. It seems like there loosing their uniqueness and own sense of style.
