The first was the "Behind Bill's House" from the original Pokemon games. A graphical error made it seem that there was a path behind Bill's house. There were many myths regarding what was back there. The one that I fell for (I was about 7 or 8 at the time) was the "Mew Town" myth. Basically it goes: In Pallet Town, the girl standing outside of your house is actually Lugia (Yes, Lugia....who was not even in the pokedex yet). She had been transformed into a person. If you talked to her over and over, eventually she would get mad and attack you. Defeat her in battle and she would tell you to go back to the cave where you fought/captured Articuno. You would go back into the cave, and there would be a different colored Articuno. If you defeated it, then it would use its beak to drill a hole in the wall behind it. Inside the hole was an item called "The Articuno Bomb". You would use this bomb to blow up Bill's house, and then take the path behind it. Down that path there was a secret town called "Mew Town" this town would be inhabited by nothing but wild Mews. I remember spending like two hours talking to the girl in Pallet Town before I realized it wasn't real.
The other myth from Pokemon was the one concerning the truck. Most people who play pokemon, now know about the truck that you could find near where the SS Anne was. This truck does absolutely nothing. Way-back-when, there were about a gazillion myths about what this truck was. People said if you used strength on it you could move it, and there was a Mew under it. Some people said that you could drive it to a secret town. The craziest thing I ever heard was that if you went to the truck when your play clock said EXACTLY 100:00 hours, then a guy would be standing there with a shipment of masterballs. You could then get 99 free masterballs. Like I said...there are about a million different versions of this myth.
The third has to do with obtaining a secret ocarina melody, finding a secret dungeon hidden inside the Temple of Time, and later getting the Triforce as an item in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time....but I think most of know that myth.....it would take me about an hour to type up that whole thing again! What I find really interesting is that Nintendo must have heard this myth and used it for some ideas in Twilight Princess. The myth stated that the entrance to the secret dungeon was through the back window of the Temple of Time. Sound familiar?

Whoa, while I was reading this, I was listening to "Seymour's Theme" from FFX and it was kind of scary. lol

All I remember what may be a myth. I'm not sure if it's actually real or not but I heard that in Pokemon Yellow Version there is a glitch somewhere where you can find and capture a Mew.

there were like a billion of those! Anybody remember the Iliax Forest myth from Gold and Silver? It involved catching Celebi. (Although I used to have a Celebi in Silver....it was probably hacked though. I got it in a trade.)

There are a lot of Pokemon myths that I can name. The most recent one I've heard was in Pokemon Diamond/Pearl. You go to the house with the Trophy Garden, and there are two maids blocking the two ends of the hallway. On these old forums I used to go to, some guy said something about holding six baby Pokemon (Pichu, Igglybuff, Cleffa, Azurill, Mime Jr., Bonsly) and then talk to each maid, going back and forth. After like 100 reps, the maids will disappear and you can go into the room, which has a portal taking you to Celebi. O.O
Another Pokemon myth was in Pokemon Ruby/Saphire. It involved staying in the moving truck you arrive in for 2 hours, then search the boxes to find an Aurora Ticket, which took you to Lugia from the ship in Lilycove City. I never tried this, but I know it won't work, since Lugia isn't in this game :P
In Pokemon Snap, if you get Pikachu on the surfboard in the Beach area and knock it off somehow, it would evolve into a Raichu. Didn't work O.O

here's one for the fans of Blizzard Entertainment games xD
anybody here played Diablo? remember the little cow located north of the town? There was a rumor going around that if you "talked" to the cow several times, you would get warped to a secret level.
Blizzard noticed this rumor, and added the cheat "There is no Cow Level" in Starcraft, an automatic victory cheat with the 2nd purpose of actually telling people there was no secret cow level in Diablo I.
And even funnier is the fact that Blizzard actually added a Secret Cow Level in Diablo II: After finishing the last act (4 in regular D2 and 5 in Lord of Destruction), you gotta go to Tristram to get Wirt's Leg, and back in town, transmute it in the Cube along with a Tome of Town Portal, and a portal to the Secret Cow Level, AKA "Moo Moo Farm", would open. It's really funny to get attacked by two-leg-walking giant cows, wearing giant polearms, while saying "Moo Moo" in a human-sounding, purposedly bad-acted way xD
I've finally discovered a miracle where the gods lost to a couple

I remember seeing in a magazine it was a joke( but i didnt know this) you could get sonic and tails in SSBM if you beat 25 wire frame guys on cruel melee.
This next one isnt a myth, but it was crazy.Although i have NO IDEA how it happened, it may have just been a glitch, but i was watching my friend's brother play Zelda:Majora's Mask, and after he turned from the deku into link for the first time EVERY SINGLE item was an ocarina.
And Pokemon is pretty notorious for having so many myths abouth certain secrets in teh game. i remember the truck very well and a few things in the casino, and something about a slowking in silver.

There are actually several glitches that can be exposed in both N64 Zelda entries. I'm not certain, but I'm pretty sure I was the first to discover the "Under Lon Lon Ranch" glitch in Ocarina of Time.

I remember having to go to the safari zone with a Nidoking/Nidoqueen, and supposedly if you talked to this statue enough times you got the NidoGod -.-
This isn't a rumour as much as it was a trick, but if ROB in SSBB jumps into the broken bridge in zeldas level while it gets repaired, and he has his smash, it glitches and he has eye laz0rz for the rest of the fight.
And I remember Sonic was apparently in SSB Melee O.o

Top Secret Zelda -
11-01-2009, 08:26 AM
I remember there once being a site called Top Secret Zelda. It was about Zelda: A Link to the Past for the SNES. This game had a glitch where if you exploit it you can explore the darkworld WITHOUT the moon pearl. I actually was able to beat up to the 5th dark world dungeon without the Moon pearl.
Unfortunately the crystal never came down in the 5th dungeon so there went that experiment.

Twilight Princess (for the Wii especially) is very glitchy. I've messed around with the Arbitor's Grounds glitch before. It's kind of fun to play with! Also the beta area up on the mountain is pretty fun to get into as well.
