Final Fantasy XII Piano Collections??? -
03-14-2008, 09:21 PM
Sorry if there's a topic like this already or if people have already talked about it but I can't find any info on FF12 PC anywhere. Can anyone shed some light on this please? Are they even making it?

I haven't heard anything about it either; if they are going to make one, it may take as much time as the Final Fantasy XI piano collections, though, so you'll have to wait a while.

Same here, I really hope they continue coming out with the piano collections. Although, I have heard rumors that they will discontinue because Uematsu is not composing the titles anymore, but that is only a rumor ( I hope)
Nicol: how long was it since the XI piano collections came out from the time the actual game came out?

The original release of Final Fantasy XI was in 2002, and the piano collections were released just last year, meaning we waited 5 years. If it's the same for this one, we should expect it around 2011.

I think Final Fantasy XI is a different entity though, as it spans multiple albums. I think it'll depend on the demand. I doubt many people would actually care if they released a FFXII Piano Collections.
Then again, I think the same applied for FFX-2, and that collection of piano arrangements were some of the best ever created.

I think there is, and there isn't a PC for FFXII.
For those who bought the piano scores from squaresound you can see that the arrangements are similar in difficulty as the other PCs and there are far lesser pieces than those found in the OST. Although there are like, 45 or so.
I doubt there will be any PCs in the old fashioned way.
Is it just me, or is FF music being less appreciated although it is just as good as always?

Not at all. They just seem to be releasing far more albums then they are sheet music; also, I'd say appreciation has even sky rocketed, what with all the orchestras performing tours of Final Fantasy music exclusively.

Yeah, I think Final Fantasy music is becoming more and more known and more and more appreciated. Previously, there weren't as many sites dedicated to Final Fantasy music as there are now.
Where are you? Here. What time is it? Now. What are you? This moment.

Hmmm. I guess that's kind of a disappointment. I really wanted to play some of the cool music in it. especially Eruyt Village (I think that would be the best one).
They probably will though. FFX-2's music was OK but yeah I agree with whoever said it had an AWESOME PC. I hope it will be the same for ff12.
what music would you guys want in it?

Off the top of my head, Rabanastre, Eruyt Village and Secret Practice are a few I'd like to see, though more will probably come to me as I listen to the soundtrack again.
EDIT: I now also would like to see Naivity, Sorrow, Giza Plains, A Moment's Rest and The Battle for Freedom.
