Favorite Video Game Track? -
03-18-2009, 12:54 AM
I like doing threads about "favorites"; I guess I always have. This is heck of a question, though, since there's so much to choose from. I'm sure we all have plenty, so I figure narrowing it down to one should be a fun challenge.
My favorite VG piece ever is "To Far Away Times", the final track from Chrono Trigger. I've heard lots of great arrangements of it, and the original is beautiful. The fact that it's tied to childhood memories helps, but I consider it a fantastic piece on its own merit. Trying to explain what a piece of music means to you is probably one of the hardest things to do, so I'll just let it suffice to say that it's very important to me.

Wow, that's such a hard question to answer. There a bunch of tracks (mainly from Final Fantasy games) that I like a lot, but of all of them, the Prelude is probably my favourite. Main reason is probably because of memories from a while back (even though i'm not that old...). I actually started playing piano just to play that one track, as easy as it is now .
Where are you? Here. What time is it? Now. What are you? This moment.

Ummm...I'm not sure about this...what a great question! Ehhh, I can't decide...either FF7, 8, 9, or 10. Maybe I favor those because I've played those enough to know them well unlike the earlier final fantasies (which I do have, but haven't played much). I think about it some more and get back to you with an answer.

My favorite? 1000 Words on X-2, definitely.

Ahhh I should have payed better attention to the title of this thread. I'd have to say "Melodies of Life" from FFIX. But I extremely enjoy "You Are Not Alone" from Tour de Japon in FFIX. But I fell in love with the arrangement, and not what was in the game, so I guess that doesn't count.

Whoops, big change. I really enjoy listening to Tension Rising. On Kingdom Hearts 2, whenever I faced an Organization member and that music played, I used to run around avoiding them, listening to it. Later, I realized I could just pause the game and it would keep on playing. -.-

A lot of people on here probably know what I'm going to say because I always talk about it lol, but I'd have to say Kingdom Hearts. I love Yoko Shimomura. She is just great. I'm not really sure what tracks because I love all of them. Akira Yamaoka from Silent Hill has also made a great impact on me as well.

This question makes my head want to explode.
But I would have to say either 1) the FF prelude, or 2) Eternity ~Memories of Lightwaves from X-2. Can't even describe what those masterpieces made me feel inside
I like Chrono Trigger, Megaman, Donkey Kong, Zelda, Mario, KH (especially), Okami, and Silent Hill music as well.
