Default Preferences for the Black Mages' next album? - 04-04-2009, 09:04 PM
I was just wondering what songs everyone thinks the Black Mages should do on their next album.

To break the ice, I'll give my ideas:
"Birth of a God" from FFVII
"Terra's Theme" from FFVI
"Dark Messenger" from FFIX
"Battle Theme" from FFX

I'd like to know what everyone else had in mind.

I'd like to see what they can do with slower pieces, like select character themes or town themes. It would be really interesting to see say, a rock version of Rydia's theme.

Yeah I definately like the idea of seeing what they can do with slower pieces, especially town themes. For example Fisherman's Horizon from FFVIII being a favorite of mine.

Fisherman's Horizon being done by TBM would be interesting to hear. I really liked how they did Matoya's Cave from FFI in their 2nd album, I agree that they should do a few slower themes like that.

I agree, however I think they should also have some high-speed metal style stuff as well. One-Winged Angel (Advent Children) is a must....I'd also like to hear Don't Be Afraid, JENOVA Absolute, and The Decisive Battle (FFV). It would also be cool to hear some non-Final Fantasy Uematsu music, like Roar of the Departed Souls (Lost Odyssey), or Dragon Fight, Eternity, and The Seal is Broken (Blue Dragon).

Please give my syphony a listen! Any comments are greatly appreciated!

The Black Mages did the version of One Winged Angel that was in Advent Children, so you don't have to worry about that .
