Collaboration on arrangements -
06-01-2009, 01:11 PM
Hi,
I've been visiting this site for about three years, but never posted until now. I noticed on the front page that the site is being redesigned to provide a way to review arrangements and add other features to the archive. While I think that's a great idea, I wanted to see if anyone had considered working with other sites to accomplish that goal and to avoid duplicating effort.
I recently launched remixSite, which is available at remixsite.org. The purpose of the site is to provide a place for people to post and update their video game music as it is developed, and to provide an alternative to VGMix, where registration is disabled. Since launching the site, I've tried to integrate it as much as possible with other sites and avoid duplicating effort, such as by including data from the Video Game Music Database.
At the risk of sounding like spam, I was wondering if anyone here might be interested in working together. For example, remixSite does not need yet another forum (people should post at existing forums, where there are more people to reply), and it seems like the music archive here is missing some features that remixSite has. Both sites could benefit from the increased traffic produced by a collaboration, whether it be major or just a few features.
Just a little thought for consideration,
