Hey everyone,

Don't know for sure if this is in the right section. If not, sorry for that. Also sorry for eventual grammar/spelling mistakes - I'm Dutch, so...

Anyway: this was yesterday confirmed at the Tokyo Game Show 2009 that is held in Japan from 24 till 27 September: There is coming a second Kingdom Hearts Piano Collection.

What I was wondering, was which tracks you would like to see in this new collection. The only track that is confirmed yet is Sinister Sundown.

Personally, i'd like to hear Destiny Islands (the fast one, from the first Kingdom Hearts); maybe A Walk in Andante (I have always loved that track, but I don't know if it will be nice in a piano collection); Friends in my Heart (but ofcourse a Dearly Beloved theme is already in this track); Isn't it Lovely (for the emotional part) or Twilight Town themes: The Afternoon Streets/Lazy Afternoons; Fate of the Unknown - and maybe some themes from Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days (haven't heard much of it yet) and a big surprise would be tracks from Birth by Sleep but I don't think they will add some of this unreleased game yet.

Hmm. If this is true, I would be very happy because several of my favorite pieces were left out. Personally I would want.... (Two songs marked with "~" means a desired song combination/medly) I might think of others, after I get "358/2" on Tuesday.
BTW: You english is very good. WAYYY better than my second language (Japanese) >_<

Awesome topic! Some of them are incredibly large pieces to summarize, but if it came down to it:

BBS (I know it's farfetched, but some great tracks)
-I think it's called "Fate of the Unknown"
-As for this one, it's in the most recent trailer for Birth By Sleep, it's a piano medley involing themes of Roxas and Sora, and maybe Kairi - I don't recall

Having a constant theme with different writing styles would be interesting, like the chocobo variations in the FF collections.

I'm so excited again! I love these albums. I was a bit disappointed by the KHPC but now that this news has been released I have some renewed faith that this will hopefully be better...

I would like to see some arrangements of Utada Hikaru's stuff, as well as Lazy Afternoons, Destiny Islands, and others... =O

Pretty, isn't it? Trying to record it now... but nothing I do will ever beat Shimomura's renditions.

I would like to see some of the pieces arranged in a more expressive style. I particular liked the way "Roxas" was arranged in the last one. The Final Fantasy VIII and X PCs were two of the best done so far. Something along the lines of those would be perfect! It would not only contrast the 20th century, over-the-top, Rachmaninoff inspired style of the last one, but would provide a different color to some of the pieces.

Good news: Square Enix will release the second Kingdom Hearts Piano Collection on 1/13/2010, for 2,500 yen. So far no track list has been announced (as Kingdom Hearts Insider says on their main site). This is what Yoko Shimomura writes on the teaser site for the album:

My second album of Piano Collections for Kingdom Hearts will soon be here! I can't believe that I'd have another album coming out so soon after the first one. I really can't thank all of you enough for your support. Is there anyone out there that listened to the special song I recorded for Square-Music Sampler Vol. 4? This time (as I hope I did last time!) I think I'll be recording some really awesome music. I can't tell you which songs yet, you'll have to wait for January for that.

Obviously It's going to be "Field & Battle" Themes. Which means we will probably see pieces like "Destiny Islands", "Scherzo di Notte", "Dance of the Daring", "Darkness of the Unknown", "Lazy Afternoons", etc.

It's nice to see this happening . Although I hope I can surpass the quality of the official collections lol! This business is a killer sometimes!
