Attention! We have a new method of submitting arrangements!
We are working to integrate our arrangement archive into our forum software. Instead of submitting arrangements through the usual form, you can now post your own arrangements. In addition to your arrangement being available immediately, you will also earn cool rewards for posting arrangements and generally participating in our forums!
To post an arrangement in the new system, read the guidelines and visit the link below. If you are not yet a member of our forums, you will need to join in order to post, but this takes just a moment. Once registered, adding an arrangement couldn't be easier.
Guidelines for Submitting Arrangements
Thank you for your interest in submitting arrangements to SquareSound. We've set forth a few simple guidelines to follow when submitting files. Please read and follow these guidelines carefully, or your arrangement may not be accepted. Thank you.
Content
- Only submit your own work - We cannot emphasize this enough. Your music must be your own work, and must be original. Taking the official sheet music or someone else's arrangement and changing a few notes or making a few embellishments does not constitute originality, it constitutes copyright infringement.
- Music may be written for any instrument(s)
- Please do not submit incomplete work
- We accept music arrangements from any video game - If you don't see a category for your game in our archive, we'll create a new one!
- Please follow naming conventions - When giving a title to your arrangement, please consult our album listings first and use the naming conventions in there. It is sometimes difficult to match up obscurely-named titles with their real-life counterparts.
Format
The formats of music we accept are Finale (.mus), Sibelius (.sib), PDF (.pdf), MIDI (.mid), or anything image-based (.jpg, .png, .gif, .bmp, etc.). If you have multiple image files constituting one piece of music, please zip them up before sending them. If you would like to submit more than one piece of music, please send them one at a time. This makes it much easier for us to keep track of the music. If this is inconvenient, please contact us ahead of time and we'll arrange another way to send your files. Before submitting Sibelius files, please be sure to enable the print function. Otherwise, users will be unable to print your file.
If you've submitted arrangements to us in the past and have arrangements currently in our old arrangement archive, we would be very grateful if you could create an account on our forum and post all your arrangements there. We are working to transition over all arrangements, and it would be ideal if the original authors posted them instead of our staff. Thank you!
