Andrew Aversa Wins Our Tribute to Nobuo Uematsu Arrangement Competition!

All the judging reports are in, and we have a winner of our Tribute to Nobuo Uematsu Arrangement Competition!  With an impressive combined score of 96.22% from our judges for his Final Fantasy VI medley entitled "Dirt Devil," Andrew Aversa is our winner!  Congratulations Andrew!

For his efforts, Andrew will receive two free VIP tickets to the upcoming Distant Worlds: Music from Final Fantasy concert in Chicago, Illinois on March 1, 2008.  These tickets include prime seats at the concert, a free program and concert CD, and the ability to attend an exclusive meet-and-greet with Nobuo Uematsu following the performance.  He'll also receive a copy of the OverClocked ReMix fan album Final Fantasy VII: Voices of the Lifestream.

The top five finishers of the competition are as follows:

1st Place: "Dirt Devil" (Final Fantasy VI Medley) by Andrew Aversa

2nd Place: "Hundreds of Voices (Swinging in Unison!)" (Final Fantasy VI Medley) by Kenley Kristofferson

3rd Place: "Lost Odyssey Medley - 1000 Years" by Ting Si Hao

4th Place: "Castle Pandemonium" (Final Fantasy II) by Elon Arbiture

5th Place: "Vamo' alla Flamenco" (Final Fantasy IX) by Alex Lamonte

For finishing in second place, Kenley Christofferson will receive copies of the Distant Worlds concert CD and Final Fantasy VII: Voices of the Lifestream. The other top five winners will receive a copy of Final Fantasy VII: Voices of the Lifestream.

The rest of the entries from the competition along with the full judging reports will be released within the next week or so and published on the competition page.

I personally would like to thank everyone involved in this competition.  All your efforts truly shone through, whether as an entrant or a judge.  I really appreciate all the hard work each and every one of you has put in.  I'm truly sorry that there can be only one winner because virtually all the arrangements were excellent!  Thank you all again for participating, and we hope to put on another competition that will be just as big very soon!
