New Final Fantasy Concert Tour Kicks Off, New CD to Follow
Posted by Tim on Oct 16, 2007
 |
AWR Music Productions, LLC announces the premiere of the Distant Worlds: music from FINAL FANTASY world-tour for Tuesday, December 4, 2007, at the Stockholm Concert Hall, Sweden. The 2-hour program produced by composer Nobuo Uematsu and AWR Music Productions, LLC will be performed by the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra under direction of Arnie Roth, with Nobuo Uematsu in attendance. The only other announced concert at this point will take place in Chicago on March 1, 2008. Uematsu will also attend that concert.
Looking at the tentative concert program (which can be viewed here), it appears that this concert will feature a combination of orchestrations from the previous "Dear Friends" and "More Friends" concerts. At this point, it appears there won't be anything in the way of new material, but these concerts do tend to offer up some surprises.
A CD recording of the concert, performed by the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra will also be released and available for purchase at the concert venues. No word yet on whether or not this CD will be available elsewhere. |
