Eternity: Memories of Lightwaves

Yuna's Ballad

This is a guilty pleasure of mine. Despite the crap the game gets for being so terrible, I think it’s fun
And the music is always great. Most of the pieces in this collection borrow heavily from jazz. Some of them are more harmonically-focused jazz (“Wind Crest”, “Zanarkand”) while others are more rhythmically-focused (“Creature Create” and “Paine’s Theme”). For this reason, and others, I think most of these pieces fall into the high-intermediate/low-advanced range.
One of my biggest problems is the arrangement of “1000 Words.” The lyrics are included in the back, so it is probably meant to be sung to, but I don’t like how straight the arrangement is. The melody is carried much as it is in the actual song and just doesn’t offer much in the way of invention.
