Recently, Square Enix began a concert tour featuring orchestral music from the Final Fantasy series. The first concert, entitled "Dear Friends: Music From Final Fantasy", debuted at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, California on May 10, 2004. Thanks to the unbelievable success of the concert, a United States tour was later planned. The six-city tour concluded on July 24, 2005 in Detroit Michigan. |

During the "Dear Friends" tour, a new concert was introduced. This concert was entitled "More Friends: Music From Final Fantasy," and it occured on May 16, 2005 in Los Angeles at the Gibson Amphitheater. This one-time only concert featured orchestral music, including two vocal piece, as well as rock music from Uematsu's own band, The Black Mages. |

The music is performed by some of the finest, world-class orchestras and choirs. The concert tour took off in North America on May 27, 2006 in Chicago, followed by Europe, Asia, South America, Australia and New Zealand. |
