Emiko Shiratori was born on March 16, 1950. She sang in the Sapporo Winter Olympics (1972) and the Nagano Winter Olympics (1998). She is also the wife of Sumio Shiratori.

As a vocalist for the video game Final Fantasy IX, she sang the main theme "Melodies of Life" in both the Japanese and English versions. She also sang a vocal arrangement of "Epona's Song" for the The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Re-Arranged Album and the Tanoshii Muumin Ikka opening and ending themes. Shiratori has had at least one song appear on the NHK program Minna no Uta.
