Biography

Written by Ronin

Although Jade Villalon was born in Califoria, USA, she was raised in Japan from the age of three years old. It was there that she performed in her first advertisement, performing in a Ramen Noodle ad for Chinese TV.

A few years later, she was back in the USA auditioning on Broadway for a part in the show "Gypsy." However, after that she went relatively quiet and focused on other things in her life.

After a few minor TV roles in her later teens, Jade decided to go down the path of singing. To accomplish this, she joined up with a band called Sweetbox who were in need of a singer after their previous one (Tina Harris) had left. After joining she was a major hit and she has managed to become a big success since joining them.

In 2004, she was approach by Square-Enix to perform English versions of the hit songs Real Emotion and 1,000 no Kotoba (1,000 Words) for the Final Fantasy X-2 International + Last Mission Original Soundtrack. The versions would also appear in the English versions of Final Fantasy X-2. She did a fantastic job and 1,000 Words has been touted as one of the best Final Fantasy vocal songs of all time.
